Programs

Link-AR Borneo works alongside Indigenous communities, plantation and mining workers, fishers, and coastal communities to strengthen knowledge, defend rights, and advance fair and sustainable natural resource governance. Gender equality and the protection of vulnerable groups are integrated throughout our work.

PROGRAM 01

Research and Publications for Social Justice

We conduct research and publish findings on the conditions of Indigenous communities, timber and palm oil plantation workers, mine workers, fishers, and coastal communities, integrating gender equality and the protection of vulnerable groups. Research findings inform ongoing education and training, stronger community and worker organizations, and advocacy and campaigns to uphold the rights of affected groups.

PROGRAM 02

Rights Advocacy and Policy Reform

We undertake advocacy and campaigns to protect and fulfil the rights of Indigenous communities, palm oil and timber plantation workers, fishers, and coastal communities. This includes advocating for policy reform at provincial and national levels to make natural resource governance fairer, more sustainable, and responsive to affected communities.

PROGRAM 03

Education and Community Organizing

We strengthen Indigenous communities, timber and palm oil plantation workers, mine workers, fishers, and coastal communities through education, training, organizing, and support for community and worker organizations. These activities integrate gender equality and address the needs of vulnerable groups, including young people and persons with disabilities.

PROGRAM 04

Solidarity Networks and Strategic Collaboration

We build and expand research, advocacy, and campaigning networks to help restore the fundamental rights of Indigenous peoples, farmers, fishers, palm oil and timber plantation workers, and mine workers. These collaborations seek policy change in natural resource and environmental governance to advance justice and community well-being.
